Look of the day

Here is yesterday's look of the day. I went out for my boyfriend's birthday so I went for something quite glamorous. For my make up, I used Urban Decays stray dog, then applied oil slick to darken it up. I had a winged eyeliner and red lips, which was created by using a lip tint and lip liner. To curl my hair, I used a large curling tong, taking thick sections of hair, then brushing out, to create a loose curl effect.

Don't forget you can follow me on twitter @josietrump and tweet me suggestions.

Products used:  John Lewis curling tong, Urban Decay eye shadows in Stray Dog and Oil Slick, Bourjois blush in Rose Amber, Benefit Fine One One, Mac Pro long wear concealer, Loreal super liner in black, Bourjois 123Perfect CC cream, Maybelline Brow Drama in Medium Brown, Benefit Ooh La Lift, Bourjois Bronzer in 51, Rimmel 1000 Kiss lip tint in 400 Eternal Flame, Rimmel Lasting Finish lip liner in 004 Indian Pink, Brushes by EcoTools.

Reviews Under £5: Boots Essentials Eye Make Up Remover

Hello everyone! I have been using this products for years and I swear by it! I have used plently of expensive eye make up removers yet nothing compares to this. I have sensitive eyes and wear a lot of eye make up, so it's important that I have an eye make up remover that I can rely on. Other eye make up removers either remove the make up and sting my eyes, don't sting my eyes but don't remove the make up, or sometimes they sting my eyes and don't remove the make up. This formula is so creamy that my eyes feel so hydrated I don't feel the need to use eye cream. Even heavy eye make up comes off effortlessly and my eyes never feel irritated. At £1.50 a bottle, there's no excuse not to try this.

Salt of The Earth Deodorant Spray

Hi guys! Today's post is going to be a little bit different, and this post was actually an idea of my mother's! This is a review on a natural deodorant spray. I used to hate the thought of natural deodorants because I felt like they wouldn't give me enough protection. Natural deodorants are better for you as they do not contain aluminium, which has been linked to cause breast cancer, as obviously deodorant is applied where the lymph nodes are. I was wary of using this at first as I do work in a very hot environment and was paranoid that I would feel too sweaty (horrible I know). I started using this after having a bath at night, then stuck to normal deodorant during the day, but I actually found that after a few weeks, I was sweating more when I had normal deodorant, so now I used Salt of The Earth all the time. It is not tested on animals and I like to know that I am not putting horrible chemicals on my skin. Other plus sides include no stinging after shaving and not having to worry about white marks.

This deodorant is available at Holland & Barrett

My Mac Lipsticks

I'm doing 2 posts in 1 day... have I gone mad? (Possibly) This post is about my Mac Lipstick Collection. I did try to take a swatch photo but the nudes are too light to show up on my rubbish camera so I do apologise. If you want me to do a look with any of the shades I have or any other Mac lipstick that I can get my hands on then let me know and I will do that for you. I love these lipsticks as there are a wide variety of colours and the formulas are so creamy. Plus, they smell AMAZING.

Acrylic Nails

Hi! Today after a looooooong day at work I got my nails done. I wanted them doing as I am going on holiday on Tuesday (do I keep mentioning that?!) I always get my nails done before I go away as normal polishes never last me a full week. I went for a really nude shade called Samoan Sand by OPI. I did want something a little darker but the other nude was too dark, but when the nail techican put the colour on I did really like it. A plus side is when they start to grow out it will be hard to tell because the colour is so pale. I wanted a colour that was quite neutral as I don't want an autumnish colour because I'll be wearing summery clothes whilst I'm away.

See you soon!

Holiday Haircare

Hello! Today I went shopping for some haircare mini's as I go away to Majorca for a week on Tuesday. I went with Charles Worthington and Toni & Guy, as I usually do. Some people try to take the bare minimum when going on holiday, but when it comes to my dry and frizzy hair, I need to be more careful than ever. I love the Charles Worthington Moisture Seal Shampoo and Conditioner because not only do they smell amazing, but they make my hair feel so hydrated, which is important whilst on holiday as the sun is very drying on the hair. I also love the mini hairspray as it gives a strong hold but doesn't leave my hair feeling crispy. The serum also comes in handy for smoothing down frizz as the pump is really small, so it only dispenses what you need so your hair doesn't end up looking greasy.

My Illamasqua Lipsticks

Hello everyone! Today I thought I'd show you the Perfect Pout set I purchased from Illamasqua. The price was £60, so even though I was making a huge saving, for me it was still a considered purchase. I decided to look at reviews on the lipsticks before I purchased them and the reviews were mixed. It seemed clear that they are a "love it or hate it " product. When they arrived, I was a bit unsure of the formula, and I instantly fell in love with Isis, a bright red shade that is exclusive to this set. As soon as I tried it on I felt like I had found the perfect red for my complexion. After I got a chance to play with them, I was impressed at the staying power of these. I can honestly say that I have never had a lipstick (and trust me, I have used many) that stay like this. Due to this, they do show any dry areas on the lips so applying a lip balm about 10-20 minutes before applying would go a long way. I was also blown away by how pigmented these are. I would say this set is not for the shy and retiring as these colours are BOLD. I would love to try out more of the colours and will be hopefully doing so in the next few months. I would 100% recommend this set as I am so glad I bought it, it's a great introduction to Illamasqua lipstick and the value is amazing
